Privacy Policy

This policy covers everyone who uses Kansumi, and describes the additional rights available to users in the European Union / European Economic Area under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Account data: email, display name, unit preference, tier, and credit balance/ledger.
• Project content: uploaded floor plans and sketches, extracted scene geometry, chat messages and tool actions, generated renders, exports, and version history.
• Billing data: subscription status and transaction history, handled by our payment processor.
• Usage data: product analytics events (e.g. a generation completing, a chat message being sent, an export being requested): collected only if you accept analytics cookies. See §6.

• To operate the core product: extraction, validation, rendering, chat, exports, and billing.
• To send transactional email: generation-complete notices, extraction failures, billing changes, and account-deletion confirmations.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To improve Kansumi, including model training, but only on projects where you've explicitly opted in (§5).
• With your consent, to understand product usage through analytics (§6).

We process account and project data under contract necessity (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interest (security, abuse prevention, core product improvement), and consent where required (model-training opt-in, analytics cookies, marketing email).

Model training consent is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings → Privacy, only your future validated corrections (not your raw uploads) may be used to improve extraction and generation quality. Withdrawing consent stops new pairs from being used and removes your pairs from future training runs; it does not retroactively un-train a model already released.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. These are always on and required for the service to function. With your consent, we also use a small set of analytics cookies to understand product usage (e.g. which features are used, whether generations succeed). You can accept or decline analytics cookies from the banner shown on first visit, and change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. Project data is retained per your plan's version-history policy while your account is active. Deleted projects and accounts enter a 30-day grace period during which they can be restored by signing back in; after 30 days they are permanently and irreversibly removed, including from backups within a reasonable operational window.

Under GDPR and equivalent laws, you have the right to:

• Access a copy of your data. Request a full export from Settings → Privacy → Export your data.
• Rectify inaccurate account data (display name, unit preference) directly in Settings.
• Erase your data. Request deletion from Settings → Privacy → Delete account.
• Withdraw consent for model training or analytics at any time.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Both data export and account deletion are self-service in the product today: no need to email us, though you're welcome to for anything else (§10).

We use third-party providers strictly to operate the service: cloud hosting and object storage, AI model providers for extraction/generation/chat, a payment processor for billing, and (only with your analytics consent) a product-analytics provider. None of these providers may use your project content for their own purposes.
